Transfection Efficiency After 5 hours: 70±13%
Cell Database > Melanocyte, (NHEM-neo), human (Cascade)

Melanocytes, the pigment-producing cells of the epidermis, undergo malignant transformation in malignant melanoma. Melanoma cells can metastasize to almost every major organ and tissue.
Nucleofection of neonatal melanocytes is a major pre-requisite to elucidate this transformation process.

  • Up to 80% transfection efficiency
  • Reproducible non-viral transfection
  • For DNA and siRNA transfection

Nucleofection of NHEM-Neo with eGFP cDNA.

NHEM-Neo were transfected using the NHEM-Neo Nucleofector Kit and a plasmid encoding enhanced green fluorescent protein eGFP. 24h post nucleofection cells were analyzed by light (A) and fluorescence microscopy (B).
