HMVEC-L (Human Microvascular Endothelial Cells - Lung)
| Cat. No. | VPB-1003 |
| Optimized Protocol | |
| Transfection Efficiency | After 24 hours: 52±13% |
| Cell Database |
The vascular endothelium serves as a barrier between blood and tissues and participates in physiological processes and disorders, such as angiogenesis or atherosclerosis. Human microvascular endothelial cells of the lung (HMVEC-L) are frequently used as a model system for microvascular pathobiology. The Nucleofector technology enables efficient transfection of HMVEC-L
without the use of a viral system.
- Up to 50% transfection efficiency
- Suitable for DNA and siRNA
- Up to 55% viability
Nucleofection of HMVEC-L
HMVEC-L were transfected using the HMVEC-L Nucleofector Kit, a plasmid encoding eGFP and program S-05. 20 hours post nucleofection the cells were analyzed by flow cytometry. EGFP expression of HMVEC-L is shown after nucleofection without (A) and with plasmid DNA (B).
Example for the nucleofection of HMVEC-L.
HMVEC-L were transfected using the HMVEC-L Nucleofector Kit and a plasmid encoding the enhanced green fluorescent protein eGFP. 25h post nucleofection cells were analyzed by light (A) and fluorescence microscopy (B).
