Nucleofector Device and Solutions

The Nucleofector Device is an apparatus which delivers unique electrical parameters. The electrical parameters are different from any other commercially available electroporation device and are especially developed to facilitate DNA transport into the cell nucleus. Each electrical setting is displayed as a distinct program which has been adapted to the requirements of a particular cell type. As the electrical settings are pre-programmed into the Nucleofector, optimization of the electrical parameters by the user is not necessary. The device weighs only 2.5 kg and is conveniently sized so that it easily fits under a sterile hood, which greatly facilitates sterile work with cells.

For each primary cell type, a specific Nucleofector Solution has been developed which is adapted to the requirements of the particular cell type. The Solution ensures a cell-friendly environment during the nucleofection procedure and supports the DNA delivery into the nucleus of the cell.

The Nucleofector Solutions can only be used in conjunction with the Nucleofector device. Nuclear DNA transport is only achieved with the combination of unique electrical parameters and Solution. Use of the Nucleofector Solution with other electroporators will not yield satisfactory results.
