Peptide Nucleofection & the Peptide Transfection Control

Peptides are increasing in importance as tools to better understand intracellular pathway dynamics and components. Peptide transfection is an emerging application that offers many benefits over more traditional methods of exploring cellular mechanisms, such as PCR and RT-PCR. Nucleofection of peptides allows scientists to apply the same conditions and technology used for nucleic acids and also to characterize pathways in physiologically relevant cell types, such as primary cells and cells that are ‘difficult to transfect’ using more traditional methods.

amaxa now offers the Peptide Transfection Control to assist in setting up your peptide transfection and to act as a process control.

  • Explore functional genomics and proteomics - in primary cells!
  • Avoid bias due to changing delivery methods - deliver DNA, RNA, Peptides
  • Avoid degradation in endosomes – deliver directly to the cytoplasm
  • Avoid cell functionality issues of induced endocytosis – retain surface structures
