High Throughput Applications - Reverse Transfection

HiFect has been proven to be an excellent reagent for multiwell transfections e.g. in 96-well or 384-well format. Rapid reverse transfection approaches can be performed with cell seeding and transfection on the same day. In addition reverse transfections using HiFect can easily automated, which is particularly useful for high throughput screening applications (e.g. RNAi library screens).

A.

B.

Successful reverse transfections using HiFect.
CHO-K1 cells (ATCC CCL-61) were transfected with a luciferase expression vector using either HiFect or Competitor Reagent L in 96-well plates according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Relative luciferase expression (A; value for Reagent L set to 1) and viability (B; relative number of living cells compared to untransfected control in %) were analyzed 6 hours post transfection. Cells transfected with HiFect showed both higher luciferase expression levels and higher cell viability than cells transfected with reagent L.
