Yes. Some splattering of the sample may occur occasionally as a normal result of the Nucleofection process. The cap will ensure that your sample stays in the cuvette and may also help avoid any accidental spilling of the sample into the carousel.
Therefore, we strongly recommend that you always use the cap during nucleofection.
