Details for amaxa FAQ article #24
«I just got an "Error 8" message on my Nucleofector. What does this mean?»
Error 8 occurs if there is extremely high current (usually an arcing event). It can also happen if there are too many air bubbles in the sample or if the volume in the cuvette is less than 100µL's. The electrical program has been interrupted and delivered insufficiently.
Press any button to reset the device. Do not Nucleofect the same sample again as this can result in extremely high cell mortality.
If the problem persists, please contact Scientific Support.
For a complete listing and description of all error codes, please see the Nucleofector manual.
