Details for amaxa FAQ article #211

«Do any of the three instruments used in the 96-well Shuttle® system "go to sleep" or power off automatically?»

The energy options of the laptop are set as such that only the screensaver is activted, the harddisk won't turn down and hibernation is disabled. One can change these settings via the system control. However this is not recommended because by turning down the harddisk or hibernation the USB connection gets lost. The Shuttle and the Nucleofector II will not go into standby. Their standby is only controlled by the orange power button. When the Nucleofector® is in 96-well mode all buttons are disabled except the power button.
