Details for amaxa FAQ article #123
«As hepatocytes are a very large cell type, should I be worried about nucleofection® causing cell fusions?»
Hepatocytes normally build fusions of two cells in culture to some extent. After nucleofection we plate the hepatocytes on collagen-coated dishes and we have not observed any unususal or increased cell fusions post nucleofection than under normal culture conditions.
