96-well Shuttle Integration on Tecan Freedom EVO

We recently sucessfully combined the superior automation features of Tecan's cell transfection workstations based on the Freedom EVO platform with amaxa's Nucleofector Technology. This allows for fully automated, high throughput transfection of primary cells, including Neurons and T-cells, as well as hard-to-transfect cell lines. The development is ideal for large-scale studies that involve high throughput transfection stages, such as RNAi based screening for Target Identification and -validation. Designed for such applications demanding high throughput transfection, amaxa offers special Customized 96-well Kits.

The whole nucleofection process can be controlled from the Freedom EVOware including

Preparation of the Nucleocuvette plate
Plate transfer to 96-well Shuttle
Control of the Nucleofector process
Transfer of transfected cells to cell culture
Analysis of transfection results (optional)

In addition all cell handling processes can be automated, including:

Harvesting of cells
Cell counting
Plating of cells
