What is RSS?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an XML-based format that allows you to receive information easily from various websites by subscribing to their Newsfeeds. In contrast to email newsletters you do not need to share your email address to receive the news, making RSS feeds essentially spam-proof. Another advantage of RSS feeds is the possibility to collect information from various sources in one place and even group them by themes, giving you an overview over your news of interest.

What do I need to use RSS feeds?

All you need is a web service (like Google Reader) or an RSS feed reader (like FeedReader). With either of these tools, you can easily subscribe to RSS feeds like the ones on this website.
